You can see that quality is built into every Load Binder BOSS and Load Binder Buddy. Which one should you pick? The BOSS gets it torque from gearing which makes it slower but powerful. The BUDDY gets it torque from speed. The BOSS is fast but the BUDDY is even faster. The Buddy has enough torque to tighten most loads adequately with the drill in seconds while using less battery power. The Buddy is easier to install and fits on more brands than the BOSS. We recommend you contact us before purchasing the BOSS to insure it will fit on your binder. For manual operation the BOSS requires the drive screw be separated from the spur gear manually. It is easy to do but takes time. The Buddy is in drill mode or manual mode at all times. This makes it faster and easier for the operator. The BOSS requires that the drill be operated by the left hand in order for the torque of the drill to be absorbed by the handle. The BUDDY can be operated with either hand. The torque of the drill when using the BUDDY is absorbed by either the deck or the shaft of the binder when operated properly.
